Aim: Consume data with Power BI and how to build a simple dashboard.

Dataset

How to create Dashboard

Step-1
Load your dataset into the power BI. It is .csv file or Excel file or text file.

Load your data set

Step-2
After loading our data we will see the screen as shown in below image.

Now here we can create various graph and analyse our data according to that. We can also see in this image that we also have fields to select the parameters from which we are going to generate graphs.

Step-3
Now generate various graph by selecting a graph of your choice and select fields to show in that graph and analyse it. Here I have attached some of the sample graphs.

Here I have selected stacked bar chart where we can see that it is between the different states and estimated cost beneficiary and actual cost beneficiary.

Here I have used a line chart for different states and we can see that there is a gradual increase in the cost, that is in Rs.

This is a stacked area chart. we can analyse how much of area is covered by the particular field in a particular state.

This is the pie chart. This pie chart shows how much amount of amount us released (in Rs. Lakhs) by individual states.

We can also create a map if our data is related to states or country. Here I have created a map where we can see the blue dots which is available states in a dataset.

Step-4
Now after generating graph now when we will hover our mouse on graph, we will see an option of a pin to visual as shown in below image.

After click on pin visual, it will open one dialogue box as shown in the below image.

Here select existing dashboard if available or create a new dashboard and then pin it. Follow the same procedure for all the graph that you have generated. After this, your dashboard will be ready to display.

This is our final dashboard
